Saving Editing Scrivenings selections

Is there a way to do this? I’ve selected approximately half of about 82 documents (a subplot thread) to see how they flow, but damned if I will be able to remember which ones when I want to look at them together again in the future. Is there a way to save this set somehow? I am guessing if not I could save it as a Compile Draft setting by choosing the corresponding documents in a separate Compile Draft. But is there a way to do it directly within the project.

(Glad you found your project, Alison, and I’m sure Keith will be able to help you figure out what happened. You had my heart in my throat there for a minute.)

And here’s my SECOND question–how do I get OUT of Edit Scrivenings mode??? :open_mouth:

Never mind. I just clicked in the Binder and VOILA. Back to square one.

My first query still stands though.

The best way to do it is to attribute a particular keyword to the scenes you want to keep, such as “subplot A”. You will then be able to search for this subplot/selection whenever you want.

Yes, tried that and it’s a perfect solution. I haven’t used Keywords at all up till now, and this is really useful. Thanks, Grinfader!

Yes, that’s the best solution for 1.0. There will be another solution for 2.0, but more on that in the future.
All the best,
Keith
