Scapple trouble with double-clicking on board

I’m new to Scapple. I couldn’t get a response when I double clicked in the start box.

Is this a general problem or a double-clicking problem? Can you make notes using any of the other methods:

  1. ⌘Return
  2. The Notes ▸ New Note menu command.
