Help! I’m new and am unable to type onto my scene text folders. I watched tutorials on how to set it up and I started out with the Template for the fiction novel. I made chapter folders and then text folders for the scenes. However, when I go to type on the scenes (I see a white page) nothing happens - I can’t type on them. They also don’t look like your typical page from a word processor with the normal top tool bar with “word processor” type of choices. After some clicking around I am able to get two dashed lines to show up and I can type within those, but it’s like typing on a notepad. It is not acting normal. Can you please tell me what I did wrong in the setup? Or what I need to do to be able to start typing in my scenes? Thank you - I appreciate your help!!
Never mind! I figured it out. I needed to make some appearance changes and I also set my font. My text was all concentrated in the middle with really large margins so it looked strange - not like a regular page of typed text, but more like a notepad. I don’t know why it originally wasn’t letting me type on the page, but now it is. So I have it all under control (at least for now). I am excited to get started!

I am guessing you weren’t able to type, because you were (unwittingly) clicking in the enlarged margin area – which is not a typable area.
