Screenplay compile to .fdx page length

Apologies if this has been addressed before.

let’s say I write a script in scrivener and compile for .fdx and it comes out to 100 pages when I open that .fdx file in final draft.

My question is if I were to write that final draft from scratch, would it still be the same length?

IF not , then how can I modify scrivener so that it matches Final draft exactly?

I have a contest coming up where they have pretty strict page length requirements so I’m concerned. Thanks.

It’s a bit weird that the contest asks specifically for the FDX file, normally they ask PDF.

I don’t know if it’s the same, but what you can do is:

  1. Write in Scrivener

  2. Export to FDX

  3. Import to WriterDuet (it’s free)

In WriterDuet, you can export to a PDF with the correct measurements which Scrivener for Windows doesn’t do (at least for me).
