Converting a marked bold/italic word to MMD fails in Scrivener for Mac 2.7

How to reproduce:

  • Select a word (doublecklick)
  • Make it bold or italic. Keep it selected.
  • Format > Convert > Bold and Italics to MultiMarkdown Syntax

Bug: Scrivener will write the opening asterisks but omit the closing ones. If you unselect the word before the conversion the bug does not appear and the inserted Markdown is correct.

Thanks, it looks like this has been fixed already in a future build (though for a release that won’t be out for a while yet). In the meanwhile you can just hit Shift-RightArrow after double-clicking, if you wish to avoid the problem.
