Scrivener 3.1.5.0 for Windows Now Available

We’re pleased to announce that Scrivener 3.1.5.0 for Windows is now available! This is a major internal framework update and modernisation of the codebase to integrate with Qt 6. As a result of this upgrade, Scrivener is now a 64-bit application only and the minimum operating system has increased to Windows 10.

In addition to these mainly internal changes, 3.1.5.0 includes a handful of interface refinements and bug fixes, remaps some shortcuts for compatibility with Windows 11, and adds an opt-in for future beta testing.

You can view the full list of changes here.

To upgrade from Scrivener 3.1.4.1, select Help ▸ Check for Updates from the main project window. If you are running an earlier version of Scrivener, you will need to run the update twice to first upgrade to 3.1.4.1 and then to 3.1.5.0, as 3.1.4.1 paved the way for our new update process and earlier versions won’t see the 3.1.5.0 update.

Alternatively, you can download and run the full 3.1.5.0 installer.

Note to beta testers: Although you will see the auto-update prompt for 3.1.5.0, owing to changes in the registry during the beta process, you must uninstall the beta version first before downloading and installing the official 3.1.5.0 release for a smooth transition.
