Scrivener 3 won’t download from App Store

I purchased Scrivener for MacOS in August of 2020 and have used it without issue for the past 4 years. Today, the app wouldn’t open, and a message came up that said it was corrupted, would need to be deleted, and reloaded from the App Store. I downloaded the trial version so I could get some work done, but when I found my purchase on the App Store, it wouldn’t download. It would get up to 115MB and then stop. The App Store tells me to try again later. I’ve been trying all day. Thankful for the free trial so I can at least get some work done.

The App Store won’t install duplicates, so you may need to remove the trial version first. Drag to the system Trash (with Scrivener closed!), then empty the trash.

Unfortunately, we have no control over the App Store software. If the above doesn’t help, I’m afraid you’ll need to contact Apple support.
