Scrivener Beta 2.9.0.15

I am a Scrivener Windows version owner.
I just now installed the latest Scrivener Windows Beta 2.9.0.15. However, 90% of my existing text is Blocked Out, i.e., REDACTED. What is causing this, how do I fix it, and how do I make sure it doesn’t happen again.

I’ve heard of this before, and it seems to be because highlighting (in black) got checked sometime. Check and see if there is some option or highlighting that got switched on and needs to be turned off.
