Scrivener Comments leave Artifacts on Monitor

I am using a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
Scrivener for Mac version 2.6 (25480)

I have been using this version for some time but just this morning it began leaving a comment from the notes window, on the monitor as an artifact. I cannot make it go away except to reboot. I have tried closing all applications including Scrivener, but it remains until rebooting. Any ideas?

Is it the tooltip? I’ve seen tooltips get stuck like that before, though I could always get rid of them by returning to the program that spawned the tooltip and then hovering over the spot where it came from—it basically just resets the code that created it when you do that.

Thanks, I will try that. It seems like that may be the problem. Hasn’t happened for a couple of days now so I’ll have to wait. Hope I don’t forget the solution in the meantime. :frowning:
