Scrivener Dialogue CON'T Function

I’m using Scrivener’s screenplay mode and noticing that the “CHARACTER (CONT’D)” tag isn’t automatically appearing when a character’s dialogue breaks and then resume after, say, some action description. This is specific to dialogue and not across page breaks.

Is there a specific setting I need to activate for this, or is this simply not an automatic function in Scrivener? This is a pretty standard industry convention, so I’m hoping I’m just missing something.

If you go into the panel of your script’s settings, you can see (and change) what comes next after a specific element.

Usually you’ll want that on hitting return it’ll stick to the current element, but there are other possible triggers (tab+context) :

. . . . . .
