Does anybody know when the next scrivener for max is coming out?
We are using 3.2.2 which was released back in 2020.
I have not seen any releases this year (2021).
Will the next version have native support for the apple silicon M1 architecture?
The old 3.2.2 version kindof runs on the M1 mac (presumably via emulation).
But selecting text by dragging the cursor works intermittently, which makes the product almost unusable.
Scrivener 3.2 is a Universal app, meaning that it runs natively both on Intel Macs and Apple Silicon Macs. See the release notes here (for 3.2): Scrivener Release Notes | Literature & Latte
3.2.2 works perfectly on my M1 Macbook Air, and from what I’ve seen on the forum it does so for other users. I’m not sure what would cause your drag to select issues, but you might try restarting your Mac as a basic first troubleshooting step.
Thanks for the reply and the suggestion.
From the release note, it is clear that M1 was natively supported since November.
But restarting did not help with the selection problem.
So I will open a separate thread on this.
