Scrivener freezing/hanging after Windows 10 upgrade

I’ve just updated to Windows 10 (version 1709), and Scrivener is freezing periodically for 10-30 seconds, every minute or two of active use. I’m using a work laptop that has sync features on the Scrivener target directory, but I didn’t have any problems with this under the older version of windows. Any suggestions as to how I can isolate (or better still, solve) this problem? I can’t roll back the upgrade unfortunately as my work administrator won’t allow this.
