Scrivener on both Mac and Windows

If I also buy the Windows licence will my writing be compatible on both if I use Dropbox? Much as I love my MacBook I work most of the time on PCs.

Yes, both are compatible (as long as you are running Scrivener 2.x on the Mac and not an old 1.x version). There are a few considerations to bear in mind, which are described here:
