Scrivener Script writing format text not centered

For whatever reason when entering Scene descriptions, character names, and dialogue it’s all leaning towards the left. The margin has to be constantly adjusted as it won’t stay that way when a new line is presented. Why is it not centered by default and how can I change it so it stays that way? Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you checked your element margins in Script Settings?

I would also suggest checking Page View, so that you can see the actual margins and the text in context with the paper, before going about and messing with your formatting too much. It could be you’re ending up with everything too far to the right, if you’re trying to make it look right in the normal editor.

Plus, do be aware that modifying the formatting of your text will essentially break the script element recognition since measurements are all it has to go on.

(Unlikely this is the issue, but just to leave no stone unturned: It is also the case that not all scriptwriting formats use the convention of centering those elements. So, it would, of course, be important that you are using one of the formats that does in order that it should meet your expectations!)

Amber, thank you so much! You were on point. When I compiled it, it was indeed correctly formatted. It just looked off on the editor window. Thanks again!

Thank you Popcornflix and Gr for all your help as well! I spent about an hour trying to figure this out. So greatly appreciated!
