Scrivener seems to have my name wrong

Hi, I’m brand new to Scrivener (had it for two days), so apologies if I’m using the forum incorrectly.

It seems to have my name wrong. I’m Murray, but when I am adding comments, it automatically comes up with “murra, 15/07/2025 18:01” for example.

I’m not aware of entering my name at any point, and my laptop system has the correct name. I can’t seem to find a setting for it anywhere. Could anyone help? Do comments just automatically max out names at 5 characters? Small issue, but it’s really bugging me.

Hi

You might be right about that 5 letters max otherwise. My comments come out as “Vince”, which is 5 letters, but never actually bothered me. (I just figured the app thought of me as “cool”. )
