Scrivener stuck and not opening any files

I’m on an older MacBook (2007 running OS X 10.6.8) and until yesterday Scrivener was running perfectly. Last night I logged into the laptop and started Scrivener and I got the following message in a white window: “Checking mobile file 1 of 1…” with a spinning wheel. All of my files reside in DropBox, and I re-synchronized that. I tried closing and opening Scrivener. I tried rebooting the laptop. I tried letting Scrivener run all night and all day. I still get the window message with the spinning wheel. I do not have any Scrivener apps running on any other machines. I do not have any Scrivener files open, anywhere… not on my MacBook, my iPad, or the web. Any help is greatly appreciated.

OK, so I tried one more thing: at boot I cleared the PRAM (Command+Option+P+R). I tried opening Scrivener and wow the window is gone. Sorry for the previous post. All is well now.
