Not sure if I am posting this in the right place…I am being prompted to update Scrivener. However, when I try to update it I am getting an “Installation and Runtime location mismatch” error. It says “Scrivener is not currently running from its last installed location” and in order to download and install the update, I need to manually uninstall or remove any copies of Scrivener not at the installed location, then restart Scrivener from there.
The problem is…there is no copy of the Scrivener software at the alleged “installed location” - the path doesn’t exist.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this and get the update? I am afraid to uninstall it and lose my work!
