I have used Scrivener for all of my novels, but this time, when I went to Compile it only compiles it as a pdf and won’t let me compile it in Word. I tried exporting to Word, but just got a lot of individual folders for each chapter. Help!
What happens when you compile to Docx?
When you click Compile what do you see at the top of the window?
It should be this:

If by “won’t let me” you mean that your compile format disappears from the list of compile formats on the left when selecting Docx as per the screenshot above, then that means that it is disabled for that format. Just re-enable it :
