Scrivener Word Count in OBS Overlay

This is not really a feature-request as this is what we have been working on ourselves in the past days.
It’s a little script that reads out the rtf word-count of a Scrivener document and then writes it (and updates it) every time Scrivener saves into a text file that can then be included into an OBS text overlay. I know this is a very niche thing but if anyone wants to help testing and give feedback, it would be great if you can reach out to me. (DM or however). We try to catch all cases in which our counter might differ. I had seen the request for something like this was already in this forum but the solution given wasn’t really working, so we took it into our own hands.

That was it. If there is a better place for this topic, let me know.

And here is a link to the other thread as well, in case one is interested in one of the solutions that worked over there.

Thanks for the post, if you get it to a point where you’re willing to share it, always feel free to do so here.

Hello Amber,
thank you a lot. We have been working on it in the past few days, adding more (different) counters and a proper documentation for people who want to use it and I will for sure come back once we have a public version available.

We have finalized the version after some extended testing and it’s now freely available on Github. We also wrote a documentation on how to use it. Please feel free to get back to me if you have any questions and suggestions. I have been using it actively in my streams since September.
