Scrivenings View: Label colors as background to scrivening title not showing properly/consistently?

Hopefully I can explain this properly as I’m kind of confused by it:

  • I’m in the Scrivenings view, my scrivenings/documents have assigned label colors.
  • I have “Show Titles in Scrivenings” selected and active.
  • My scrivenings have color coded labels.
  • When I first do this, it initially shows up in the Text Editor as intended. However, if I change the document I’m viewing to another, my color coded labels disappear when I go back to my “Scrivenings” view. I’ll get the titles (usually) but sometimes the titles disappear, too.
  • Turning “Show Titles in Scrivenings” on and off seems to fix it until I change out of the document again.
  • Changing the color in Options > Appearance > Scrivenings > Color > Scrivenings Title Background will bring back all label colors… until the main Scrivenings file is no longer the focused document in the editor.
  • Pressing F8 will bring back the label colors as scrivening title backgrounds, but I feel like it’s not supposed to require pressing F8 every time I navigate back into the scrivening document like that.

Currently running the 3.1.4.0 / Feb 01 version.

Known bug.

Yep.
. . . . . .
Once you get tired of this (like I got tired of this), you (may) leave the feature off and forget about it, as it becomes a replacement reflex to rather look for the label at the bottom of the inspector.
The title being invisible when scrolled out anyways. Which is a lot of the time.

If you want something visually stronger than a line to mark where the scrivening passes from one document to the next, you can set a color for the title’s background in the options:

Thank you! I’ll probably wind up going with that suggestion. I’m just glad to hear that the bug’s been made known already at least.
