just updated to scrivenor 3 from 2 but all my backups have disappeared. any body know where they may have gone to. Should i have done something before upgrading. any help would be appreciated.
What is most likely is that the new version is using a different location for its backups, so if what you’re doing is going into the Backup options tab and clicking the button to open the folder in Explorer, that would explain why it is empty.
I’d try running a file search in Explorer for a known project filename. That should dig up where they were stored before, and you can choose to move them over to the new location, or maybe consolidate them both to an easier to access place than the defaults.
Note also that the Recent Projects menu will be empty when you first open a new version. Nothing has moved, the new version just doesn’t know about it yet.
