Not sure the best way to phrase this question - I couldn’t find the answer in the manual. Is there a way in the program to keep the line of text you are typing centered in the screen so when you get to the bottom of a page or the screen your type at the bottom of the program?
I think that makes sense.

Typewriter scrolling is the function you want activated.
You’re looking for “Typewriter Scrolling”. ⌃ ⌘ T (It’s the same shortcut, but the feature works independently in the editor and in Composition Mode, in case you don’t want the same behavior in both places.) 16.3 in the manual. You may also enjoy Focus Mode (16.4).
You can also set how far down the screen will be the place you want the Typewriter Scrolling to target.
Just a thought. If you wish to keep focus on the line you are typing, you might try File>Options>Appearance>Main Editor and check the box for Highlight the current line. You can even choose the color.
