Anyone know if there’s a way to search by formatting in Scrivener like there is in Word? I’m using a lot of italics to indicate thoughts in my current manuscript and it would be great to find all the places those are used.
Yes, there is a format search tool, you will find it in the Edit/Find/Find by Formatting... menu command. Once you have that palette open, switch to character format type searching, and set it up to look for only italics. This tool, unlike the normal Cmd-F tool, will jump from one document to the next to find matches.
