Is there a way to use the keyword search and exclude all docs that have a specific keyword? (as opposed to looking for all docs that have that keyword)
Probably not, because all other keywords would be true, even documents without keywords.
I know you can apply Boolean logic to, e.g. the Status field by placing a minus sign in front of a status word like Draft, Final and Completed in Project Search and limiting your “Search In” to Status. That way you’d know, for instance if you’re searching -Completed, you’d get a result for Draft and Final.

Well that is actually what I want, all docs, even docs without keywords, to show up when I make the search. Unfortunate if not possible.
You might try using the project search to search your project for that keyword. Then, you can click into the project search box for that smaller magnifying glass.
Clicking it and selecting its “Invert Results” option should change the results to show the documents that do not have that keyword at all.

I thought I remembered using something like that in the past but I couldn’t find it. It’s staring me in the face now. How weird. I read the options multiple times looking for it and never saw it. Age age age. Sigh. Thank you.
