set format for Insert Current Date and Time?

Hi,

I’m a brand-new user on the first day of my 30-day trial and I am delighted with Scrivener so far. Thanks for this cool program!

I searched the user manual, but I didn’t see an answer to my question:

Is it possible to set the format for the Insert Current Date and Time command?

Welcome to Scrivener and its forums, kris.

The format is probably set in System Preferences > Language & Region > Advanced > Dates: Long, and System Preferences > Language & Region > Advanced > Times: Short, at a guess (which also therefore affect other settings on your computer).

Yeah, for some reason that section of the menu appendix got accidentally omitted from the manual, but the command inserts the Long Date and Short Time formats from your system settings.
