When working in Scapple the keyboard shortcut for a new connected note (Ctrl-Cmd-Left/Right/Up/Down Arrow) works as advertised. So do the shortcuts for new note above and below (Ctrl-Opt-Cmd-Up/Down Arrow). What doesn’t want to work for me are the shortcuts for new note left or right (Ctrl-Opt-Cmd-Left/Right Arrow). Nothing happens when I press these combinations. As far as I remember this has worked before. Could it be that this (rather unusual) keyboard combinations are used for something else in recent iterations of the operating system (I’m on High Sierra)?
I use it now and then when I forget a key shortcut
Hold down the Cmd key a little longer, and you get a large pop-up window with all short cuts available for the app that currently has focus.
Funny. Using CheatSheet, the only place I find where the shortcut is used is in Scrivener to adjust the first-line indent (Format>Stycke>Öka/minska indrag>Öka/Minska första radens indrag). But, also in Scrivener the shortcut doesn’t deliver.
EDIT: Realise now that I referred to a beta-translation into Swedish, that do not belong in this forum
A utility called Magnet - a “window manager” app - that I’d more or less forgotten about as I don’t use it, but still hadn’t disabled uses the shortcuts. Once I had disabled Magnet, the relevant shortcuts worked as advertised in both Scapple and Scrivener
