"Snap to" tool for ruler? How do I use this function if it's there?

After some googling, I found a forum post saying that Scriv does have it, but the commenter didn’t say how to use it and I can’t get my ruler to snap to units (0.25, 0.50, 1, etc.)

I also can’t seem to find any hints in the help files either. Does Windows Scrivener just not have a ruler that can snap to units?

Options > Editing > Options > Ruler snaps every: and you choose the number

To show the ruler: View > Text Editing > Ruler or Ctrl+Shift+R

Oh, you are a lifesaver, thank you so much!

You are welcome.

When I drag the tabs along the ruler, they don’t “snap” to anything. Needs to be like every other word processor out there.

For me, with tabs set, pressing the TAB key, the cursor will “snap to” the next tab stop.

Not for you? Do you mean something else when you say “snap”?
