After finding out that the software will be automatically updated once Scrivener 3.0 is available, I bought Scrivener 1.0 license in February and I spent a few months transferring and compiling old projects using the Scrivener 1.9.16.0 version. But then I noticed the Beta versions on the forum and I started testing them out (a while ago, I bought a 4k screen and the old Scrivener versions are not compatible with 4k resolutions which sometimes make the text hardly readable).
Anyway, recently I noticed that, in the Beta versions (currently on Scrivener 2.9.9.10), I can’t open any snapshots created in previous Scrivener 1.0 versions. Newly created snapshots work as expected, but the old ones – though still present in the folder structure and showing in the Inspector – cannot be opened. I guess it’s a bug, since I’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work. So, I decided to register and share the problem here. Hopefully, it’s something that can be fixed, since it will require a lot of manual effort to update all Snapshots from the .rtf files one by one. (By the way, in case I’m missing something, feel free to redirect me to the proper forum topic, so that I can repost the issue.)
