It appears that documents are sorted by the date they were created. I was expecting an alpha sort.
Perhaps consider providing some sorting choices either in the menu or preferences.

Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean. If you go to Reorganize and sort descending/ascending, it will sort by title alphabetically.
Documents in the binder are not sorted at all. You drag them around if you want to rearrange them - that is the whole point. Outline views do not allow for sorting dynamically, only table views.
Perhaps I misunderstand you?
