Spinning wheel stops me using menu

Hello

I am unable to use my Scrivener recently as the spinning wheel of death pops up each time I go to do anything. This includes using the menu bar, copying text etc. The only way I can close Scrivener is to press Command Q.

Each time I go to do anything a notice pops up saying it cannot connect to my external server but I am not sure how to change that setting. It auto saves to my library and backs up to dropbox.

I have also deleted some images in my files and deleted older backed up versions and cleaned up my desktop.

I am not sure what to do next.

Best wishes

Sarah

It would probably be best to contact mac.support@literatureandlatte.com with full details of your macOS and Scrivener versions, and details of the problem. Include details of where on your hard drive the projects are stored - i.e. iCloud Driver or Dropbox etc. You’ll get a reply quickly and we can talk you through some trouble-shooting steps.

Thanks Rob, I have just sent an email to the Mac support so hopefully they will be able to point me in the right direction.
