I was working in split screen editing mode in composition mode. Things were working pretty well, the main text was in the main window and the secondary text was in a small movable window. I accidentally turned off the secondary window and can’t figure out how to turn it back on. Does anyone have any idea how to turn this window back on?
Split screen editing has never been supported in composition mode. Are you sure you weren’t in Lion’s full screen mode? Or perhaps you were using a QuickReference panel?
Thanks, perhaps it was a quick reference panel…I don’t know exactly what it was but it seemed to be working pretty good and was a nice feature if I could get it back…
I just tried adding the second file as a QuickReference panel, it definitely was the window I was looking at before but now I can’t seem to add text to it. I am going to View:QuickReference:File name but the window comes up empty with 0 characters.
If the QuickReference panel is empty then it must be of a different document, so I’m a bit confused - which document were you trying to open (the same one as was open in full screen)? Glad you seem to have it sorted, though.
