Split View on [MacOS 26] not working

When I try to use macOS Split View with Scrivener, it doesn’t work. This happens with both Scrivener version 3.4 and 3.5. Other apps work fine with Split View, but Scrivener does not respond as expected.

P. S: The problem appears on macOS Tahoe

Assuming you refer to the Tahoe interim version 3.45 I cannot confirm this. What exactly do you mean when you say “it doesn’t work” and it “does not respond as expected”. Does it not work at all, does it respond slowly?

Thanks for your reply. By “doesn’t work” I mean that Scrivener does not enter Split View at all. When I drag the Scrivener window to the top of the screen and try to put it side by side with another app, it just snaps back. Other apps behave normally, but Scrivener refuses to enter Split View. This happens consistently on both version 3.4 and 3.5.

It might depend on what you have open in those windows, and how large your monitor is. If you are using, say, the editor split and the inspector, it might be that Scrivener’s window size can’t be reduced enough to accommodate macOS’s split arrangement. It works for me when my project windows are only showing the binder and editor, for instance, but if I open other panes it won’t work so well.

Sorry, I totally misunderstood you. I thought you were referring to *Scrivener’s• split Editor (which works fine for me).
