Style changes appearance when compiled to ePub

Scrivener 3.5.2

P-style “Heading 2” (left, bold)

become

Center, Regular in ePub

This is probably not a bug, but a Style definition in the Compile Format you’re using. You can check as follows:

  • From the main Compile screen, right-click on the Format you’re using and choose the Edit (or Duplicate and Edit) option.
  • Go to the Styles tab and scroll down the list to find the one you’re interested in.
  • Use the preview pane to format as desired.

Section 24.5 in the manual discusses the Styles pane in the Compile Format editor in more detail.

Thank you Kew’s for replying

I have chosen this (last) style:

As-Is

Include only the main text, based on its appearance in the editor

That’s a Section Layout, not a Style. If you’ve defined a Style in your text, it will be insulated from whatever the Section Layout does, but it will be affected by a Style definition in the Compile Format. See my previous post.
