I’m new to Scrivener, I have looked at the pdf tutorial many times and use it as a reference. I am getting a bit frustrated with how each chapter looks with the margins, spacing, headings, font etc.
- Is there an easy way to set a margin end for each chapter so I can adjust them all at once? I have been adjusting each one manually it is getting a little tedius.
- What is the real difference in compile between heading 1 and heading 2? I’m just getting overwhelmed by trying to compile and then see the differences which seems to show only on some chapters (which have the exact same style) and not in others?
- Is there a way to save a style panel in one project and upload it to another or do I have to manually add in my styles each time (I have been manual adding them each time wondering if i’m missing something.)

Have you worked through the Interactive Tutorial – a project available from the Help menu?
Setting Styles may not be necessary for your need. What is your primary need for using Scrivener–examples: fiction writer, business writing?

May I suggest reading the “think different” section in the Scrivener Manual?
Ik looks like you think Scrivener is a WYSIWYG word processor…

Primary need is to use it to write my fiction book which I eventually want to publish, but I am particular in how it looks. In word, I could set it up how I wanted to see it, in this program, I am hitting roadblocks, is all. Sorry didn’t mean to get you aggravated. Just wanted to ask for help. Thanks…

Ill take a look at the think different section and I know it’s not, I just like things to look a certain way and wanted to know if I was missing something. I am a doer and lo, I have read the tutorial I get bogged down sometimes. Just wanted to reach out. Thanks…
I’m not agitated, just out to steer you in a sound direction. Happy to advise where I can, but would need context as Scrivener has many diverse options.
