I searched the Wish List forum for “CSS” but didn’t see any topics within my, admittedly short, attention span. Scrivener is wonderful. But one extra perq that I’d love is to be able to set basic formatting styles in the app. Wouldn’t need to be fancy; just something so I don’t have to format this sub-heading, then that one, then the next. Thanks for your time!
You wouldn’t see anything for CSS on this, since the text engine isn’t an HTML editor, but rather an RTF editor—more like a traditional word processor. That said, the program is designed around the idea of not really having to worry about changing formats all of the time while writing—basically when you compile you can set up your formatting preferences in one single spot (the Formatting compile option pane), rather than typing and defining section headers in the text editor. The title would be created by the compiler using the name of the item as you see it in the outline, and then formatted is the manner you choose. The body text can all be cleaned up and made uniform as well.
So if you’re looking for a “stylesheet” concept, the Formatting compile option pane is the closest thing to it.
