If a style (all formatting or paragraph style) has a background color set, and the left indents are set to 0, whenever there is an empty line of that style, following other paragraphs of that style (which systematically happens if you’ve set the next style to “self”), the background colored box breaks into multiple ones, limited to the content of those previous paragraphs.
It makes it hard to see what is what.
