Hi,
Since a few days I have a weird window popping up next to my normal scrivener projects. It looks a bit like a config sys screen. Maybe I did something in my settings? Can anyone helpt me out please? If I close it, it closes the scriv projects I am working on.
Hello and welcome.
Since no-one else has come in, that looks to me like the “Log” screen that is available on Windows. I’m a Mac-user (we don’t have it) so I can’t tell you how you’ve activated it, but look under the Window or the Help menu as you should find it there.
If you type “Log” in the search field at the top of the Help menu. it should, I hope, show you where it is.
Hope that helps.

It’s in the options.
It is completely harmless by the way. It is there in the case there are issues for which you might get a report using it.
Don’t worry about whatever project(s) you’ve opened while this was turned on, they weren’t affected in any way.
Oh, we do have the equivalent. I’ve been using Macs and Scrivener for so long, whenever I have encountered a crash or hang, I’ve automatically gone to the System console for reports or simply copied the data from the System Crash Reporter that comes up automatically. So I’ve never had to look to see if we have the equivalent.

Thank you, that helped!
Thanks everybody for helping out. It’s fixed now
