Survivors -- a brief recommendation and a questions

Hello all,

My wife and I just finished viewing the first two seasons (or series) of the BBC science fiction Survivors. This is an entertaining show, even if I wanted to smack the characters upside the head for doing stupid things. It’s about the aftermath of a virulent flu epidemic that wipes out maybe 98% of humanity. It features tarnished heroes, dispicable bad guys, and an evil corporation, of course. The dynamic among the group of survivors the show follows is engaging. If, like me, you enjoy “end of the world” stories, you might like Survivors.

The second season ends with what could be a cliff hanger, even though there are a lot of story lines tied up. My question is, does anyone know if there is a third season in the works? Thanks.

Steve

Is it the recent version that you have been watching, or the old one? I assume the recent one, since you ask about ongoing development of series 3. But I just wanted to recommend the old series of Survivors from the 1970s, which was infinitely better than the remake, and which is also available on DVD. If you haven’t seen it, I think you’d enjoy it!

Yes, I’m talking about the new version. I was aware there was a 1970s show, and will check it out. Thanks.

Still, if anyone has any info about a third season of the new version, I’d welecome the news.

Steve

Well, I’m sorry the series won’t continue, but I am happy to know now than to keep on waiting for the next season. Thank you, Keith.
