Take a dropbox and place onto Ipad

Hello! I am trying to duplicate a scrivener file that is synced to dropbox and place it on my ipad proper, so I have a copy that I don’t have to worry will sync or not sync. Is there a way to do this?

THANK YOU!

There are two things you can do. In both cases, start by tapping the Edit button in the main project screen, and then select the project:

  • To duplicate a local copy, tap the duplication button in the footer bar. Drag it into the “on my iPad” area once it duplicates, and give it a useful name.
  • Tap the “share” button. This will zip the project and send it to any tool that can do stuff with zips, including Files. It’s a great way to keep a serial list of backups when you don’t have a Mac/PC around. You can even unzip and copy them back into Scrivener from Files, to restore.

Congratulations, you’re running a safer system than 95% of the world around you. Backups are so important no matter if you sync or not.
