Hi, I’ve got a question about the pop-out panel. Over the last three months I have created two .scriv files, but the pop-out panel [the one that you get when you click on the green target on the toolbar] on the two is different, see screenshot below. Why does the one on the left say Manuscript Target while the one on the right says Current Selection Target?
It will be in the first tab, at the very top of the list, when you click on the Options button in these panels. You’re looking for a setting that will use the compile group setting. This is typically used in cases where you may have a trilogy in your project, and would want to switch between whole books for word counts. It’s maybe useful for other things too, but not often useful with the “current selection” compile setup.
Note the two might be identical in their settings. The compile group can be the entire Draft folder (or “Manuscript” if that is what you named it in the binder). So both can be set the same, but one project is compiling the whole draft folder while the other is compiling just whatever you have selected in the binder before you go into the compile window.
