Hi, nice to meet you all. Although I love novels (queer romance especially, and sci-fi) I can’t write a plot to save my life. So I’m working on a non-fiction text book for counsellors and counselling students on working with autistic individuals. My book is narrative-based, fictionalised stories of real clients and their experiences. It’s journalistic research rather than academic. If anyone’s read Loves Executioner by Irvin Yalom, he is my inspiration. I’ve been busily filling my Scrivener Ideas folder to develop my ‘plot’ cork board. So far, so good. I did waste 3 hours today on LinkedIn, which I only popped on to see if I could recruit some people to interview! Anyone else writing a non-fiction text book?
