text font size in footnotes

The text font size in my footnotes is suddenly huge, and I haven’t been able to figure out a way to change it either via general preferences, project text preferences, or by just trying to resize each note individually. I’m using Yosemite on a MacBook Pro.

You may have inadvertently changed the footnotes zoom factor. Try going to the footnote area and click right to change to another value.
