I’m a fairly new user of scrivener … currently I’m using ubuntu beta installation (native deb installation and not in wine).
So apologies if I’m overlooking an obvious setting for listing / indentation.
I’m looking for paragraph sequential numbering features in scrivener which I use in conventional word processors … e.g. OpenOffice
i.e.
indent toolbar for highlighted text or paragraph
allow sequential listing of paragraphs (starting from index “n”)
if I highlight list selected paragraphs and choose format > list > A, B, C the paragraphs are correctly prefixed with A, B, C etc.
However if I format paragraph by paragraph the paragraph indexing is not remembered and paragraphs are prefixed with A, A, A - i.e. the prefix before the paragraph block starts again at A does not follow the previous paragraph nunbering sequence.
So I end up with this paragraph and sub-paragraph structure:-
A
a.
b,
c.
A
a.
b,
c.
A
a.
b,
c.
…
instead of
…
A
a.
b,
c.
B
a.
b,
c.
C
a.
b,
c.
…
I can see the listings options in Format > List
but how can I introduce a new paragraph into the document and ensure that all the other paragraphs are re-ordered?
Am I missing some obvious setting for indentation / listing?
Is there an indent button to add to the toolbar?
