Text Indents after Unordered List

Good day! I have a question that I cannot seem to find an answer for. When I create an unordered list in scrivener, after I end the list, the text continues to be indented a bit to the left after. How the heck do I stop that behavior and get my text to left justify without the indent?

Thanks,

Frank

Formatting just picks up from the previous paragraph, so after you end the list you’ll need to drag the indent markers in the ruler (Format > Show Ruler) to reset the new paragraph or use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+T and Ctrl+Shift+Q to decrease the first-line indent and left indent respectively. (Without the Shift key, the shortcuts will increase the indent.)

Also a technique I have used for years with software that do not use stylesheets is to advance past the spot where I wish to insert a text with special formatting, and then go back up and proceed to do so. Basically:

  1. Hit Enter twice.
  2. Hit UpArrow.
  3. Write your List.
  4. Hit DownArrow when done.

Since you left an empty line at the bottom containing the paragraph formatting from the line prior to inserting the list, your formatting will continue as was.

Also, if you using the beta regularly at this point, formatting presets come in handy for this sort of thing.

Thanks for that! I didn’t even know that this existed! I hate being a newbie with something, lol.

Yep, that’s what I’ve been doing, when I remember, lol.
