Text...Still haven't found what I'm looking for.

I see many references to text zoom but I still haven’t found the correct answer. In regards to compose and the regular window, is there a way to customize my text scale? For example, 300% is ok, but 250% or 275% would be better. Is there a way I can customize this to my tastes or is it just preset and what you see is what you get? Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you.

Hi,

No, there’s no way to do this. It’s on the list for the future (3.0 or beyond, though). Because of the way drawing works in the text system, certain scales can cause text drawing artefacts caused by uneven pixel scales, so it’s not as straightforward as you might think. Remember that you can always just change your default font size, though, seeing as one of the main ideas of Scrivener is that you can compile (export and print) using completely different fonts to those you edit in. So, while scale is there as a nicety, the general idea is that you pick a font that is comfortable to write with rather than the font you want in your final document.

All the best,
Keith

Thank you for your quick response, I really appreciate it. Good to know it’s considered for down the road.
