Text viewing issues with Page View and Composition modes

Hi everyone,

I’m having major issues with viewing text in Page View and Composition mode. This seems to be happening since I updated to Scrivener 3.3.3 and Mac OS Sonoma 14.0. What happens is that when I’m writing in either of those modes, the text sometimes gets all mashed up, with several layers of text appearing over each other, making it completely illegible. It keeps happening until I exit out of Page View or Composition mode, which is a real hassle. (I prefer to see my page count, which is why I use Page View.)

Any ideas on how to fix this?

This is addressed in this longer thread, which also addresses instability issues that can arise from the text overlapping you’ve seen. This link points to a test build that should fix it.
