I am working with several tools for writing but Scrivener is my ultimate solution now.
My previous problems before Scrivener:
- No control about my texts anymore, I was unable to find text passages and topics
- I was totally lost if I had big content, using keywords/tags and so on made me into a search engine on my own content instead of working with it (Obsidian)
-Stuff scattered around, nothing was on one place and I had to search this or that - It was absolute impossible to manage really long texts or to read it
- I do not want to use LyX or hardcore Latex-Commands during writing. I am willing to construct whatever for a good design if I figure out how it works, but I want no ugly stuff during writing.
Now:
- I am free
- I can organize everything within the document including tasks
- I can implement review-steps, QA-stuff and other things if I want for myself
- I can do text research, analyze it, split it, break it down into peaces and then put new stuff together or build something new
- Your product feels like a door opener to me. I was using Lyx, LaTex, MikTex, LuaLatex, Asciidoctor,Markdown,Obsidian and so on. All of these tools are great for themself but the real deal is Scrivener!!!
- I have solved the math stuff for formulas by using the md->latex conversion and using $ / $ commands. Works perfect to me.
I am new to this product so I have some questions later on. But for now, tnx for this great tool.
