Might like ‘The Telling’ for a newer novel of hers with some of that sense of experience, amid quite thoughtful travels and mores, as always.
I will always remember meeting the real ‘Ms. Underhill’ on her porch, and many other wonderful things.
Like Louise Erdrich, an unaccountably neglected American writer.
