The Left Hand of Darkness

By Ursula K. Le Guin.

I recently d/l’ed both this book and The Dispossessed as ebooks. I read them a million years ago and was feeling a bit of nostalgia, so…

Might like ‘The Telling’ for a newer novel of hers with some of that sense of experience, amid quite thoughtful travels and mores, as always.

I will always remember meeting the real ‘Ms. Underhill’ on her porch, and many other wonderful things.

Like Louise Erdrich, an unaccountably neglected American writer.

Very much agree. Animal Dreams is the one I generally recommend to persons for a start.

Or The Bean Trees->Pigs in Heaven.

Nice to hear from both of you.
