The Violin Maker

A wonderfl book. About one year old. A magical stoy of a man who builds violins to replace the "strads’ that are played by the best in the world. He makes 6 violins per year and one cello. (He has just completed Yo Yo Ma’s cello.

All from a place off of Flatbush avenue in Brooklyn, NY. An amazing trip into the soul of the violin maker and the artist he must please. Not to be missed.

Made me think of two books, ‘related’ but you’ll have to see how or if you agree. Quite good stories both; second one is not in principle a fiction.

The Piano Tuner, Daniel Mason

Iron & Silk, Mark Salzman
