Thesaurus is now worthless, but the site is hard-coded into Scrivener, please give us options

Thesaurus.com just revamped its site and stripped out most of the usefulness. I saw in another discussion thread that Thesaurus.com is hard-coded into Scrivener. I’ll use bookmarked alternatives, but the convenience of selecting a word and sending it to a good thesaurus is now lost.

Maybe a fix to Scrivener to let us choose our preferred thesaurus for that function?

(yikes, that site is now entirely broken for me in Safari… literally cannot scroll/browse or click anything).

It might be good to get some suggestions from the community on preferred websites for this purpose. For example, I like the way Power Thesaurus works, but some might find that too technical looking.

I, too,

. Now bookmarked.

Thanks, Amber. I started a search for an alternative but I’ve stopped with Power Thesaurus. It looks great.

I too wish to cast my vote for the previously unknown Power Thesaurs!

It would be nice if it was customizable. Kind of like for the Bibliography/Citation manager.
For non-english users that would be a big plus.
(It has been expressed through a feature request 2 or 3 times, I believe. – I, for one, would really like that.)
Everyone could simply pick their favorite.

I don’t have Scrivener at hand right now, but is that feature a kind of integrated dictionary lookup?

I didn’t know this one either, and it is now my default. Thanks!

My fave is WordHippo.com, but PowerThesaurus looks good too.
